1. Limited Version: Only 4 clone‑write tokens total. Once all tokens are used up, device can only read chips. Reset & write‑clone functions are permanently locked. No token top‑up, no upgrade path to unlimited version. The NXP KILLER "limited version" usually for testing & very occasional jobs.
2. Unlimited Version: Unlimited tokens, unlimited clone‑write cycles. No annual fee, no points deduction. Ideal for regular locksmith shop heavy‑duty usage.

Device LED Status Guide
The working status of NXP‑Killer offline operation can be judged by the device LED indicator without any external equipment. The specific LED definitions are as follows:
1. Solid White Light: Device is powered on and in standby mode, ready for key board operation;
2. Flashing White Light: Reading key chip data. Do not touch or move the key PCB to avoid unstable connection and reading failure;
3. Flashing Blue Light: Executing chip reset and data cloning/writing. Do not power off or unplug cables during this core process;
4. Solid Green Light: Current operation completed successfully. Chip reading, resetting or cloning is finished, and the key PCB can be removed safely;
5. Flashing/Solid Red Light: Operation error & abnormal failure. Common causes: poor PCB contact, mismatched adapter, damaged chip or short circuit. Please check the adapter and wiring before retrying.

 Notice:
MCKB solder‑free adapters are sold separately. Without adapters, users must know chip pin definition and perform flying‑wire soldering by themselves. Damage caused by soldering is not covered by warranty.

Step-by-Step Operation Tutorial: Clone NXP Smart Key with NXP Killer


Applicable Device: NXP‑Killer (Limited / Unlimited Version) – Fully offline operation, no PC, no software, no network required.
Applicable Chip: All NCF29XX series smart key chips
Support Accessories: Dedicated MCKB solder‑free adapter (optional but recommended)

Preparation Tools
1. NXP Killer main programmer host
2. Corresponding MCKB solder-free adapter matching your key PCB
3. Blank NXP29 chip smart remote
4. DC power supply /USB-Type C power cable





Step 1: Prepare Working Conditions

Power on the NXP‑Killer main unit and wait for the solid white indicator light to confirm the device enters standby mode. Prepare the original working key PCB, blank key PCB, and the corresponding MCKB dedicated adapter matching the key model. Ensure the key PCB surface is clean, free of water, dust, solder residue and short‑circuit risks.


Step 2: Fix Original Key PCB with MCKB Adapter

Clip the original NCF29XX smart key PCB firmly into the matched MCKB solder‑free adapter. Make sure all metal contact points are fully and tightly attached without offset, loose connection or virtual contact. Connect the MCKB adapter to the NXP‑Killer main unit via the dedicated cable.
Note: If no dedicated adapter is available, use MCKB‑049 universal adapter with Dupont wires for manual pin connection. Irregular or modified key PCBs may not be compatible.


Step 3: Read Original Key Chip Data (Offline)

Press the READ button on the NXP‑Killer main unit to start offline chip data reading. The device shows flashing white light during the reading process. Do not touch, move or disconnect the key PCB to avoid unstable connection and reading failure. Wait until the solid green light appears, which means original key data reading is completed successfully and data is stored in the device cache automatically.


Step 4: Chip Reset Preparation

Remove the original key PCB after successful data reading. Fix the target blank NCF29XX key PCB onto the MCKB adapter and ensure stable contact. Follow the device button prompts to enter the chip reset procedure.

Step 5: Offline Clone & Write Data

Press the WRITE button on the main unit to start offline chip reset and cloning writing process. The device shows flashing blue light during resetting and data writing. Do not power off, unplug cables or shake the device during this process to avoid chip damage or writing failure.

Token Rule: The NXP‑Killer Limited Version has only 4 valid write tokens (each WRITE operation consumes one token). The Unlimited Version supports unlimited offline writing with no token limit.


Step 6: Finish Cloning & Verify Key Availability

When the solid green light lights up steadily, the chip reset and data cloning are fully completed. Power off the device gently, remove the cloned blank key PCB. The new smart key is ready for vehicle matching and daily use.

NXP-Killer:WAKE UP CHIP APPLICATION
WAKE UP CHIP APPLICATION is a built-in exclusive bottom-level function of the NXP-Killer programmer. This is the core reason why NXP-Killer has higher compatibility and success rate for special high-end NXP chips.

It is designed to wake up deep-sleep & anti-theft locked NCF29XX smart key chips, especially for recycled / used car keys and high-end NCF29AG / NCF29AE chips that cannot be recognized by ordinary key programmers.

Many original smart keys will enter hardware deep sleep mode after vehicle unbinding, resulting in read failure and no response. This function forces chip hardware activation, restores normal chip communication, and makes dormant used keys reusable for resetting and cloning.
