NOTE SAFETY!
Disconnect the battery and wait 10 minutes before removing the module or disconnecting any wiring.
KIT includes
2 x Micro Switch (1 of them with metal clip)
2 x Relay ACP131
How do I know if my module is faulty....?
A faulty micro switch or relay or triode can cause one or more of these symptoms - Common problem with J764 module :
-Steering Lock
Error Code: 00288, 02818, 02811, 02861 - J764 defective / No Signal
-Steering Wheel warning shows orange or red.
-Takes several attempts before car will start
-Clicking noise when key inserted
-No ignition (
Ignition does not switch on / Steering wheel remains locked!) , car will not start
-Vehicle immobilized
-
Apply brake or switch on the light and clear the fault memory in ECU J764, After deleting the fault memory, everything works again for a short time!
All the cause: Electrical components in ECU for steering column lock J764 defective!
Note:
-The repair kit does not work with defective servomotor or with the defective processor, control unit J764 does not answer, diagnostics not possible!
-Good soldering skills are required! No programming necessary!
