What is Steering Lock Emulator

How to use this Tiguan ELV Emulator?

1. Remove the two main chips from the PCB of original ELV lock module, one is small on the front of PCB, and one is big on the back. 


2. Solder the small chip to the front of this new emulator, pay attention to the welding direction, make its circle dot facing outward. Solder the big chip to the back of this new emulator, pay attention to the welding direction, make its circle dot in low right position. 


3. Install the emulator to original ELV lock. After installing the elv to car, use a obd scanner to read the fault code first, then clear the fault code, and then start the car to see if the function is normal. If the function is normal, there will be a horn sound during the process of starting and stopping the car.


4. After testing, install the emulator in the shell of original steering column lock. the elv faulty was repaired and you get a new working steering lock now.
